HX Expedition Cruises

    Why HX Expeditions

Antarctica, Arctic, Alaska, and Galapagos - Expedition Style

To travel with HX is to open yourself to a world of awe. From cultural encounters to wildlife wonders, what you see and learn on your trip will inspire and energize you. And when you come back home, you’ll have a deeper, richer love of the planet we all share.

The experts in expedition since 1896, handpicked experts from a range of fields will lead you on discoveries onshore and onboard including hikes, community visits, kayaking, talks, and more.

From state-of-the-art hybrid ships, to better alternatives to single-use plastics and heavy fuel oils, you’ll quickly learn why HX was named “Best ESG ranking of a cruise company by Morningstar Sustainalytics” and recently awarded 'Best Antarctica Expedition'.

    What's Included with HX?

    • All inclusive expedition voyages
    • All meals, specialty restaurant, cafe
    • All beverages daily - alcoholic and non-alcoholic
    • WiFi
    • Daily shore landings and zodiac safaris

    Science Center:

This is the core of the onboard experience. The Science Center is packed with state of the art technology and high tech gadgets such as touch screens and science equipment. This is where guests and staff/crew meet, mingle and create a deeper understanding for the areas you explore. The flexible venue features lecture spaces, a small library, and special areas for workshops in photography, biology, and more.

    Dining Options:

    1. Aune Main Dining - named after the Norwegian ship chandler and polar expedition supplier Tinus Aune.
    2. Fredheim - the ships’ informal and social meeting place – named after a 1900s hunting station on Svalbard.
    3. Lindstrøm - a speciality restaurant (free for Suite Guests) named after Adolf Lindstrøm, the favourite chef of the Norwegian polar heroes.

    Alaska

HX Expeditions explores Alaska differently. Take in more of this region than most travel providers, experiencing natural beauty and engaging with communities that other ships simply sail past. From Southeast and Southcentral Alaska to Southwest Alaska and the Aleutian Islands, you'll see everything this extraordinary land has to offer. And as nature was meant to be seen.

    5 things You'll Love

    1. Small ships from 90-490 passengers
    2. Polar Class, ice-breaking ships
    3. 5-Star luxury
